We couldn’t be more excited to introduce the King-Chavez Arts & Athletics Surf Team! Throughout the fall, 4th and 5th graders built their confidence in the pool while learning water safety and a variety of swimming strokes. This winter, our Tigers continue to build their skillset in the water through surfing! The team meets after school each Monday on campus to learn about surfing and engage in exercises that will support them in the sport. On Fridays, the students take the knowledge and skills they’ve been building to Pacific Beach for hands-on surf practice!
